Dustin Marlowe joined Orr Brown Johnson LLP as an associate in June 2009. Before associating with the firm, Dustin served two years as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable William C. O’Kelley, Senior United States District Court Judge for the Northern District of Georgia. Through his service as a federal law clerk, Dustin developed an extensive understanding of federal practice and procedure and acquired an expertise in commercial litigation, including collections, contract disputes, business torts, catastrophic personal injury and wrongful death, products liability, constitutional litigation, and employment discrimination. Although Dustin’s service as a law clerk uniquely qualifies to handle complex litigation in federal court, he also regularly represents clients in probate, state, and superior courts across North Georgia. Dustin focuses his state and federal litigation practice on catastrophic personal injury cases, commercial and business disputes, and workplace law, including claims of employment discrimination, wrongful termination, and unpaid wages and overtime.
Dustin graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia School of Law in 2006. During law school, Dustin served as the Senior Notes Editor of the Georgia Law Review, authored A Dose of Reality for § 6(c) of the Restatement (Third) of Torts, which the Law Review published, and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. Before law school, Dustin attended and graduated magna cum laude from the University of Georgia, where he was elected a member of Phi Beta Kappa, the country’s preeminent honor society for college students. Dustin is currently a member of the Northeastern Bar Association, the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, the American Association for Justice, and the Chattahoochee Inn of Court. In January 2010, the Young Lawyers’ Division of the State Bar of Georgia accepted Dustin into its prestigious “Leadership Academy.” Dustin successfully completed and graduated from the program in June 2010. The Leadership Academy was founded in 2006 to bring young lawyers across the state in contact with Georgia’s political and legal leaders.
Dustin lives in his hometown, Jefferson, Georgia, with his wife, Amber, who is an elementary school teacher.
